Bring the kids out to this all community event! Kids in the Park is free food, children’s games for cheap and a raffle to raise money for Kases for Kids, a project dedicated to help comfort children taken into foster care.

Kases for Kids works with California Family Services. Many times, when a child is removed from a home in Butte County, the child will not take much with him/her. Kases for Kids provides Family Services with a new backpack or duffle bag with toiletries, healthy snacks and a stuffy. By supporting Kids in the Park, you will be helping children throughout Butte county though incredibly hard circumstances. You can make a difference!

When a child is taken into protective custody, it is a swift procedure. Many times, all that the child leaves with is a plastic grocery sack with a few belongings in it. In cases involving methamphetamines, a child takes nothing from his/her home. Something as simple as a back pack ownership and a few creature comforts can give a child a small bit of control and reassurance.

At the event, there will be a barbecue, a bounce house, a fire truck, information booths about child safety and other children’s issues, and a huge raffle. Lets join together to support these kids. Even Ben and Jerry’s is giving away free ice cream. Come and be a part of this community event!
